It is only when Mrs. Marcus (who else) yells out the bloody obvious can the audience finally switch
the cause of their tension - from "Is he really doing it?" to "Will he get away with it?"
"HE'S GOING THE OTHER WAY!"
And it is this moment, after following the adventures of a dozen charactors,
that the audience is collectively routing for just one of them to get away with it.
