Earlier this year, I found myself in Long Beach, California, home of the
Queen Mary and the Spruce Goose. Of course, the town also doubled as the
location for the Santa Rosita Police Department! Here's a few snapshots
demonstrating my keen eye for detail! |

How could one forget that EDISON building seen on the rooftop shot? |

Here it is today, the EDISON sign no more. |

The "Plaza" never really existed. The sequence was comprised of miniatures, matte paintings and assorted trickery. |

But, Come on! I had to take THIS photo. Was this Long Beach building an inspiration? |

to do with anything, but...Guess who was appearing in a Long Beach
playhouse! The marquee reads: NIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE starring film legend Kevin McCarthy(!) |

Coca-Cola was by far THE "Mad World" product placement (It appears everywhere), but CORMIER CHEVROLET got a bonus, since it was across the street of Culpepper's station house.(In reality, the YMCA building) |

And here it is. The
YMCA had long been demolished, and Cormier moved to another Long Beach
area, but they are still there. So you see, it was worth it. It was all worth it! |
